DITA delegation meets Minister in Chennai on June 20th 2025 for MKU staff salary issue.

MADURAI: The newly floated Diravidiyan Ideological Teachers Association (DITA) has today taken up the financial crisis issue of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) with Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister Mr.Govi Chezhiaan by submitting an appeal after meeting him at the Higher Education Minister office at Chennai secretariat on June 20th 2025.

State coordinators of DITA- Dr.V.Marappan and Dr.Mu.Thenmozhi and Madurai Zone in-charge Dr.P.Kabilan had met the Higher Education Minister in Chennai today and explained to about the financial crisis of MKU and that the teaching and non-teaching staff of MKU were not paid their May month salaries and that the pensioners are yet to get their last month pension, according to a press statement.

“We have to appealed to the government authorities to stabilize the financial situation of MKU in Madurai and ensure that the disbursement of salaries of salaries and pensions are given on time for the families to lead life with dignity,” the DITA press release has said on June 20th 2025.

According to the DITA delegation members, the Higher Education Minister and senior officials of the Higher Education Department had listened attentively and they immediately initiated the process for release of salaries and pension to MKU staff.

“A favourable resolution for MKU salary issue is expected soon. The other demands related to MKU were also taken to the attention of Higher Education Minister in our meeting today at Chennai,” the DITA Madurai Zone press release has said today.
