MADURAI: The importance of giving back to society and living with gratitude was stressed by the Chairman of Tamil Nadu State Minorities Commission and Director of Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) at Loyola College campus in Chennai Rev.Dr.C.Joe Arun at the 59th Graduation Day of Lady Doak College in Madurai today.
“Giving and gratitude will make you great persons. These two Gs will make your life meaningful and successful. Always think of how you can give back to the society, to your parents and to the college where you studied,” he said in his life-grooming message while delivering the graduation day address at LDC here on June 13th 2025.
Dr.C.Joe Arun, who is Director and Professor of Marketing & HR at LIBA in Chennai, has guided the gresh graduates by saying that the degree they got today is a combination of sweat and blood of their parents and teachers.
GREAT PERSONS ARE OUR EXAMPLES:
“Look at Martin Luther King, Barack Obama, Mahatma Gandhi, B.R.Ambedkar, Abraham Lincoln and many such great people. They all received and returned. If your receive and don’t give anything to the society, it is a negative attitude. So, my piece of advice to you is to always be grateful and have a sense of gratitude,” he said before distributing the diplomas and prizes to students who passed out of LDC this year.
Rev.Dr.C.Joe Arun had stressed that ‘you should not have more than what you need’ and observed that the sickness of today’s world is lack of gratitude among many people. He had particularly complimented the non-teaching staff of Lady Doak College who raised a few lakhs of rupees for the satellite campus project of the college.
Dr.R.Beulah Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary, Lady Doak College, had presented a detailed report on the various activities and achievements of the faculty and students of LDC during the academic year 2024-25 by emphasizing that LDC in Madurai stood as a beacon of women empowerment.
