MADURAI: The school correspondent of Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School at K.Pudur in Madurai Mr.Mohamed Idris was presented the ‘Environment Protector Award’ recently by the Tamil Nadu Climate Change Mission for motivating his educational institution students towards environment protection in Madurai district.
This government award is presented by the Department of Climate Change every year to individuals or groups who contribute significantly to environmental cleanliness and Green initiatives in each district, Mr.Sheik Nabi, school Headmaster, has said in a press release on June 9th 2025.
The award presentation ceremony took place in the school campus at K.Pudur here and the RDO of Madurai Ms.Shalini had handed over the award to Al-Ameen Higher School Correspondent Mr.Mohamed Idris, according to a press release received from the school yesterday.
Madurai North Tahsildar Mr.Masthan Gani and Deputy Tahsildar Mr.Rajesh along with Revenue Inspector Mr.Ramar, VAO Mr.Irulandi, environmental activist Mr.Bharathidasan and Al-Ameen School Headmaster Mr.Sheik Nabi were among those present in this event which commemorated the World Environment Day 2025.
