TIRUPATI: For the young doctor aspirants who want to become successful doctors in their career life, an easy practical route to achieve their goal was prescribed by a senior medical administrator who had risen from being a doctor to the top position of Executive Director and CEO of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Madurai.
Prof.Dr.M.Hanumantha Rao, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS-Madurai, had suggested nine simple easy things that are to be followed by medical graduates while he was exhorting the successful doctor route map in his convocation address as chief guest at the 13th convocation of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS)-Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) held in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh today-June 11th 2025.
“My advice to the medicine graduates today to become successful doctors is to follow the route map which I am suggesting from my experience. The first point is hard work, ethics and honesty. The second point is to get up early in the morning and that is the best gift you can give to your body while my third advice is life long learning with dedication towards your professors,” the AIIMS-Madurai chief has said in the convocation speech at Tirupati today.
The other point is stress management by regular physical exercise coupled with yoga and mediation while the next suggestion is to develop leadership qualities. “My other advice to those who are passing out of SVIMS today is to have good attitude and be available to the patients. It is important to be composed, careful, confident and connected always. What is important is to prevent negligence and medical errors. Remember always that doctors are treated as ‘God’ (Vaidyo Narayana Hari...). If these points are followed, you can become successful doctors,” Prof.Dr.M.Hanumantha Rao has said.
Mr.B.R.Naidu, Chairman, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and Chancellor of SVIMS University had presided over the 13th convocation today and attended by the top brass including TTD Executive Officer Mr.J.Syamala Rao IAS and Director cum Vice Chancellor of SVIMS Prof.Dr.R.V.Kumar, along with the governing council members of SVIMS and staff members.
