Whistle-blower of CSI corruption seeks police security, writes letter to Union Home Secretary fearing threat to his life due to cases filed him in Court on CSI Madurai-Ramnad Diocese

MADURAI: D.Devasakayam of Srivilliputtur in Virudhunagar district, who is a leader of Christian Reformation People Association and a member of Church of South India (CSI), has sent a representation to the Union Home Secretary recently seeking police security for his personal life safety because he had filed some important cases in court about misappropriation of public properties by a few Christian bodies like CSI Madurai-Ramnad Diocese.

“I have requested for a Central government security guard for my personal safety and my life protection. As someone conducting legal battles voluntarily for people’s welfare, I face numerous threats and pressures from individuals against whom I had filed court cases.. Since my appeal to the State government in Tamil Nadu to provide police security to me has not been considered, I have now requested the Union Home Secretary seeking protection for my life,” Mr.D.Devasakayam has said on May 29th 2025 while releasing his letter to the media about threats from influential individuals due to the ongoing legal cases.

In his representation, the CSI member had alleged that some powerful entities who has political influence had resorted to misappropriation of public properties, Government land etc and that it runs into thousands of crores of rupees.

“My complaints are against CSI-Trust Association, CSI Madurai-Ramnad Diocese, IIFL Realty Limited, Sheryans Foundation and a few prominent individuals. My life is under threat now,” Mr.D.Devasakayam has said in his letter by giving names of the persons and also giving a full list of the writ petitions filed by him in the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court pleading for justice after full investigation on misappropriation of public properties and issues faced by Christian community.
