MADURAI: Digital luggage locker facility has been introduced at Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station in Kerala for enhancing the passengers’ convenience so that they can keep their luggage bags securely for a desired duration.
In a press release on May 2nd 2025, the Southern Railway has informed that the digital luggage locker facility is named as ‘Safe Cloak’ which will be a self-operable digital luggage storage solution to train passengers at Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station.
The smart digital luggage lockers are accessible only via OTP-based mobile number verification through CCTV surveillance thereby ensuring maximum security and accountability. There are multiple locker sizes including medium, large and extra large.

Fully digital payments with instant locker access, 24X7 CCTV monitoring for added safety, custoemr support via phone and locker sizes that suit family luggage and group travellers who carry multiple bags/ bulkier luggage are among the special key features of digital luggage locker at Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station.
The SafeCloak smartr digital lockers in Thiruvananthapuram railway station are fixed at affordable rates for the passengers, the press release added. It starts from as low as Rs.60/- for six hours for a medium box and goes up to Rs.300/- for 24 hours for an XL locker box that can take up to 10 bags thereby making it a cost effective luggage storage solution for family and group travellers who go with many lugagge bags.
“Thiruvananthapuram Division is redefining how modern railway stations serve the needs of tourists and business travellers.
