MADURAI: A team of Rotary members are on the ground right now to help the affected people in conflict hit areas in Kashmir as per the Rotary International’s motto of ‘Service above Self’.

The Rotary volunteers team led by Past District Governor Dr.Rajeev Pradhan took medical aid and emotional support to the Kashmir people in this difficult time when the region and especially Pahalgam is in turmoil due to the terror attack on April 22nd 2025 which killed 28 innocent tourists.

“I found that one of our Rotary members Dr.Arti’s calm leadership and compassion stood out. As she steps into her new role as club president, her rise from the conflict zone reflects Rotary’s spirit of courage, unity and service. Kashmir comes under Rotary International District 3070. Dr.Rajeev Pradhan is from RI District 3132 and Dr.Arti is from RI District 3141. Rotary’s belief is that no place is too distant and no circumstances to difficult for kindness. It is to be noted that Rotary members are working with human touch and healing hands in Kashmir,” Mr.Ashok Mahajan, Past Rotary International Director (2007-09) and former Trustee of The Rotary Foundation (2009-23), has said in a statement issued yesterday-April 26th 2025- about Rotary’s service for Kashmir people in this difficult times.
