MADURAI: The Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) is soon going to order DVAC probe into the allegations of answer scripts supply at the homes of distance education candidates for writing examinations in violation of rules and norms.
“The centres that are facing allegations were approved and opened before my taking charge as VC of Madurai Kamaraj University here. After I took charge, I closed down the distance education centres outside…..But I want to set things right. So, first there will be an internal committee enquiry in the issue and later we are going for DVAC probe. I have asked my people to identify candidates who wrote the exams,” MKU Vice-Chancellor Prof.M.Krishnan told ‘Lotus Times’ news website today evening- on 7th August 2020.
The register number of candidates who wrote the exams in these centres and other details are being taken now and just few days the data will be there for us to start action, he added. The university’s fast decision and Vice-Chancellor’s swift action comes in the wake of a complaint that a few centres in Kerala had violated the exam conduct rules, and a few staff members of Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) of Madurai Kamaraj University are involved and connived.
