MADURAI: Tiruparankundram MLA Dr.P.Saravanan today inaugurated anganwadi centre at Samathuvapuram near Pokkuvarathu Nagar in Perungudi here today morning.
The anganwadi centre was built at a cost of Rs.8.5 lakhs with funds from Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Following a request from local people, the MLA took the initiative of establishing an anganvadi centre in that locality.
