Former MKU Vice-Chancellor now has a role in Search Committee for selecting new MKU VC


MADURAI: Former Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Prof.P.Maruthamuthu now has an important role to play again for MKU. The Tamil Nadu State Government has issued through a gazette notification dated 4th September 2021 that Dr.P.Maruthamuthu has been nominated by the MKU Senate to the Search Committee for recommending a panel of three names to the Tamil Nadu Governor-Chancellor for appointment of new Vice-Chancellor for Madurai Kamaraj University.

Another nominee on the VC Search Committee is Dr.M.Rajendran from Kancheepuram who has been nominated to the search committee by the university Syndicate, a press release received from MKU here on 7th September 2021 has informed.

Dr.Maruthamuthu is Professor Emeritus, Department of Energy, University of Madras, AC College Campus in Chennai. The TChancellor will appoint another member to the Search Committee which will have three members. (The earlier MKU Vice-Chancellor Prof.Dr.M.Krishnan was appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Tamil Nadu at Tiruvarur recently by the President of India and Dr.Krishnan had assumed charge there recently)>
