CBI team at Madurai Airport on 10th July 2020.

MADURAI: A 7-member special investigation team of he Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from Delhi has arrived at Madurai airport today afternoon- 10th July 2020- and proceeded to Thoothukudi to probe into the recent father-son police custodial deaths which created national uproar.

The custodial death of traders P.Jayaraj (father) and his son Benicks at Saathankulam in Tuticorin district is being probed by the CBI as the case was pursued in the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.
At around 1.30 pm today afternoon, the CBI team reached Madurai airport and left for Tuticorin by three cars.

Those who are in the CBI investigation team include ADSP Mr.Vijaykumar Shukla, Pavankumar Dwivedi, Saileshkumar, Sushil Kumar Verma, Ajaykumar, Sachin and Poonam Kumar, according to information received here today.
