MADURAI: Bala Sriram, who is studying fourth class and belongs to Kadachanendhal near Madurai, has given Rs.10,000 to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund towards Coronavirus prevention and relief measures undertaken in the State.
The cheque for Rs.10,000 was handed over to concerned authorities today by the boy on behalf of ‘Marudhanila Vendhargal Kalvi Membadu Nala Arakattalai’. Responding to the CM’s appeal to donors for their contributions to the Corona Fund, the boy had shown keen interest to contribute whatever is possible from their locality.
At Kadachanendhal area near Madurai, the local people along with government officials are creating public awareness about Coronavirus prevention ways. Also, essential commodities such as groceries are being distributed to needy people besides face maks and disinfectants.
