MADURAI: Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi has received an overwhelming response and was greeted with cheers in Madurai on January 27th as thousands of BJP cadres turned up to hear his speech at a massive public meeting addressed by him.
Being his first visit to Madurai as Prime Minister, the party had made elaborate arrangements for the grand success of the public meeting and the turnout was huge giving a strong signal to other parties that BJP also will be a front runner in Tamil Nadu for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
“MEENDUM MODI…..VENUM MODI”
When Mr.Modi arrived on the stage after laying the foundation stone for Madurai AIIMS and declaring open three super-specialty hospitals, the meeting venue reverberated with slogan “Meendum Modi…Venum Modi”( MODI AGAIN AND AGAIN MODI).
Despite hot Sun, the BJP cadres were jubilant and cheerful all along till the Prime Minister left the venue. Functionaries from 10 Parliament constituencies have attended the public meeting in Madurai.
The State BJP leadership, district teams of Madurai Rural and Madurai Urban besides members of 23 teams formed for meeting arrangements / coordination were successful in conveying the message that the battle has begun for the 2019 elections from the temple city of Madurai.

P.Muralidhar Rao, BJP national general secretary, Dr.Mrs.Tamilisai Soundararajan, State president, State general secretary (org) Kesava Vinayagamji, senior leaders La.Ganesan and H.Raja were among those seated on the dais along with Mr.Narendra Modi.
