MADURAI: The Vice-Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) Mr.L.Murugan has said that his team will be on the field for surveillance by visiting all districts in Tamil Nadu to meet the authorities and SC people directly for on-the-spot redressal of grievances of dalits.
“As Vice-Chairman, I told the district Collectors to make sure that the Central welfare schemes such as Mudra loans, Ujwala and PM Awaz Yojana must reach all the deserving people…..Nobody should be left out….The welfare of SC and ST people is very important for our NCSC and to Prime Minister Mr.Modi,” he said in Madurai on September 11th 2018 evening.

The National Commission will take stern departmental action against those officers who fail to monitor the full implementation of welfare schemes and against those who neglect the SC community people in education, promotions and recruitment.
“In Tamil Nadu, the general situation is OK….But, I am visiting districts for assessing the situation….We are directly going to the people and SC families to hear their problems. Also, they can approach our Chennai office for lodging complaints of atrocities etc… I will talk to the concerned district collector and others to ensure justice for the SCs as per our Constitution….,” Mr.Murugan has said while talking to the ‘Lotus Times’ news website in Madurai.
