MADURAI: The highly popular / credible brand value of Prime Minister Narendra Modi coupled with top class political strategy of party’s national president Amit Shah will certainly bring the BJP to power in Tamil Nadu also if cadres focus on groundwork to strengthen the party at booth level, BJP senior leader and party’s State vice-president Mr.M.R.Gandhi, has asserted.
“Now there is a lot of confusion and vacuum in Tamil Nadu politics….the people of this State had seen the two Dravidian parties DMK and AIADMK for 50 years and they feel it is enough….So, we have to use the Modi-Amit Shah duo’s brand to win in all elections from now on,” he said.
Mr.Gandhi was speaking at the Executive Committee meeting of the BJP Madurai Urban City unit held at Maattuthavani in Madurai city on August 6th 2017 (Sunday).
The party’s senior leader, who is very popular in Kanyakumari district, told the office-bearers of the party that all of us have a responsibility to bring the BJP to power in Tamil Nadu “and that will certainly happen because Prime Minister Modi’s good work is being felt by people in this State.”
Mr.Gandhi spoke on the sacrifice and ideology of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya whose birth centenary celebrations took place for one year.
“Today, our party is in power in 18 States….and it is our government at the Centre also….So, winning and capturing Tamil Nadu is possible if we work with good strategy and field work at booth level,” he exhorted the cadres.
FIFTEEN DAYS WORK:
Mr.Gandhi, who came from Nagercoil to address the Madurai urban district EC meeting of the BJP, spoke in the importance of 15 days Vistarak work which is aimed at expanding the party base from ground level and make it a strong political force.
“Booth committees are important..and the mandal presidents of the party should take fast steps to form those committees in all the 1,223 booths in Madurai city area….. If that takes place, it will be a turning point in Tamil Nadu politics because BJP can come to power in this State too,” he enthused the office-bearers.
Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, BJP State Secretary, Mr.Saseeraman, BJP Madurai city unit president, Mr.K.K.Sreenivasan, general secretary (organisation) and D.M.Balakrishnan, general secretary, were among those who spoke at the EC meeting in Madurai city on August 6th 2017.
